About Busy Bees

Busy Bees is a privately owned Pre-School in Ashtead which has been running from the Peace Memorial Hall for over 30 years.

A new management team has been in place since Sep 2024. Both members of the management team have worked in early years for well over 25 years each and are able to bring a wealth of knowledge
and experience to the setting.

Our aim is to provide all children in our care with an exciting and educational environment that focuses on the individual progression of each child. This is achieved by your child forming good strong
bonds with our warm, friendly and enthusiastic staff, allowing staff to get to know your child’s individual needs and interests enabling us to support your child to achieve.

We believe learning should be fun. The curriculum we provide is based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and Birth to Five Matters, set out by the department of education.
We combine a wide range of activities to support the curriculum which include Imaginative/creative play, singing, stories, crafts, playdough, musical instruments, mark making equipment and the use of our outdoor area.

Children will also learn other important skills needed for school readiness. These skills include good social skills, communication skills, making friends, the ability to share, take turns, regulate their
emotions and work towards building their confidence and independence of their own personal self-care, but more importantly they learn to take pride in their achievements. We believe this comprehensive curriculum is an excellent preparation for school.
